WHAT WAX IS USED TO CREATE CL CANDLES?
Our candles are made with a soy/paraffin blend. This allows for a hot and cold throw; this means even when your candle is not burning you may still be able to notice the fragrance of your candle in your home.

HOW LONG WILL MY CL CANDLE BURN FOR?
In ideal conditions, 180g candles burn for up to 33 hours, 400g candles burn for up to 63 hours, and 560g candles burn for up to 75 hours. Please note that we aim to ensure all of our candles are as long lasting as possible however burn times do vary based on a variety of factors. These factors include candle maintenance (whether wicks are being properly trimmed and are centred), the length of each continuous burn time (a longer burn that results in a deeper melted wax pool has the tendency to evaporate faster), candle placement (air-conditioned and drafty areas may effect burn times) and the age of the candle.  To ensure the longest burn time possible, make sure to properly maintain your candle by trimming and centering the wicks.

HOW DO I CORRECTLY EXTINGUISH MY CANDLE?
Always use a candle snuffer to extinguish your candles. It prevents the wick from moving and wax from spilling, maximizing burn times.

WHY SHOULD I STOP BURNING MY CANDLE WITH 1.5CM OF WAX LEFT?
Always monitor the amount of remaining wax in a candle container. Once the wax falls below the half-inch mark (1.27 centimetres), discontinue use. The container can heat up when the flame nears the base of the jar and there is not much remaining wax. Following this rule will help prevent heat damage to the container and the surface surrounding the candle.

DO I NEED TO TRIM MY CANDLE WICKS?
Yes.
Try to ensure that your wick is always kept to 5mm long at all times. We recommend trimming the wick every 3 hours of burn time. When trimming, always extinguish the flame, let the candle cool down to room temperature, remove any wick debris and trim the wick before relighting. This will help to encourage a more even burn, steady flame, and limit mushrooming and sooting.
